3 in the Key Ep 2 - Harden Trade, Tristan Thomson Turmoil, Rockets Revival
Jeremiah, Grant, and Kaim are back to discuss how this season is looking around 20% of the way through the season.
In the first half, they discuss the Beard being traded to the Clippers and the subsequent ascension of the 76ers and plummet of the Clippers. Addition by Subtraction? Has Tyrese Maxey established himself as a top-5 guard in this league? If it’s the 4th quarter…Will Batum be in? Will Harden and Russell Westbrook coexist on the West Coast? We shall see. The boys dive deep into their NBA Knowledge and by the end of the half, you’ll know who Filip Petrusev is too!
Over halftime, the 3 in the Key crew discusses Tristan Thompson’s viral quote regarding his cheating on reality tv star Khloe Kardashian. Tristan says he feels disgusting after such acts - do the boys see where he’s coming from? Khloe asks, “Why do you do it again?” and we try to figure out the answer to that very question. Is cheating the end of any relationship or can things be patched up? 3 in the Key gives their perspective.
We finish off with a halftime highlighting one of the league’s biggest surprises in this young season - the Houston Rockets. The Rockets are on track to be a playoff team, boasting a top 5 defense in the NBA so far. The Ime Udoka effect at work - we wonder if Udoka affects Houston’s off-the-court culture as much as he impacts it on-the-court. Does Houston have a championship core brewing? Harden’s favorite city seems to be moving on without him and time will tell how far they’ll go.
